Cinema 4

Cinema 4 is a stylish space with 67 fixed seats.

This space has been designed entirely in Art Deco style, recalling the historic Cinema Parisien, a cinema on the Nieuwendijk that was one of the first cinemas in Amsterdam. In EYE’s former location in the Vondelpark Pavilion, this space had been rebuilt in its entirety. In the new EYE building, the décor of Cinema 4 is a tribute to this special place in Dutch film history.

This space is equipped with a sophisticated form of LED lighting. The decorated wall panels can be illuminated in different ways, meaning that a completely different atmosphere can be created with the mere touch of a button. Furthermore the space is equipped with a Weber Aeolian piano from 1912. This self supporting piano is founded in 1895 and makes it possible to play the most difficult music.

Cinema 4 is very suitable for smaller gatherings, such as a birthday party with a film screening or a lecture. The space also has a grand piano from 1912 that can be used to accompany silent films.
