A spicy Marilyn Monroe and a charming Yves Montand in a playful modern Cinderella tale about a billionaire who falls for the star of a New York show. Despite his lack of talent, he is included in the revue.
Let's Make Love was Montand's fast-paced witty American debut. Throughout the film, director George Cukor interjects his portrayal of the theater world with intermezzi featuring famous stars from the world of show business: Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly and Milton Berle. In this fashion, the film portrays a fantasy world with many double meanings: the actors play the role of actors and thereby parody their own profession.
