EYE Connect is the international network association which supports EYE’s exhibitions. EYE invites all (aspirant) members to an exclusive opening evening of Fellini: The Exhibition on 3 July. Director of Exhibitions Jaap Guldemond will take you around EYE’s summer-long exhibition. The guest speaker on 3 July will be Clay Mills, Managing Director of advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy.

International screening of EYE’s restoration of Richard Wagner

The fully restored silent film Richard Wagner (1913) world premiered at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden earlier this month on 22 May. The renowned film pioneer and cinema owner Jean Desmet distributed the film in the Netherlands when it was first released. A copy of director Carl Froelich’s biopic was restored by EYE in 2011.

Van Warmerdam's Borgman selected for main competion Cannes

Borgman, the new feature film by Dutch film maker Alex van Warmerdam is selected for the main competition of the Cannes International Film Festival 2013. For the first time in 38 years, a Dutch film succeeded to break through to the main competition of the world's leading film festival.

Become a member of EYE Connect

On May 7^th 2013 EYE launches its new networking group called EYE Connect with an exciting event. The members of this group support the exhibitions of EYE. This first event is intended for people who want to find out more about what EYE and EYE Connect has to offer. EYE Connect members are offered four network events per year, reduced admission fees and much more.

Two new additions to the Europa Film Treasures website

EYE has recently contributed two more films to the Europa Film Treasures (EFT) portal, bringing the number of EYE films on this streaming video platform to eleven. EFT is freely accessible to everyone and presents the films with new commissioned scores and with the option to watch them with subtitles in five languages. EYE and EFT have been collaborating since 2009.

International attention for the collections of EYE

From Berlin to Hong Kong, from Madrid to Los Angeles: copies from EYE’s film collections are being shown all over the world. The vivid interest taken in EYE’s collections by fellow museums and film archives not only relates to silent movies from the beginning of the twentieth century, but also extends to Dutch experimental film makers or films that have been restored to their former glory by EYE, as for instance films by the German director Werner Schroeter.
