Framing Film series
EYE established the Framing Film book series in 2009 in collaboration with Amsterdam University Press. The series consists of specialised academic publications as well as books written for a more general readership. The first specialised book in the series was published in 2009 by EYE’s head curator, Giovanna Fossati: From Grain to Pixel. The Archival Life of Film in Transition. The first general title, film3 [kyü-bik film], edited by Anna Abrahams, Claartje Opdam and Mariska Graveland, was presented during the 2010 Film Biennial. This book, made up of essays and interviews, is an exploration of the new generation of experimental filmmakers in the Netherlands.
