Monthly film series

Each year, EYE organises a number of monthly film series. These cover a range of genres and are often presented by a film expert or are accompanied by live music. Please note: most of these programmes are in Dutch.

Cinema concerts
Every second Sunday of the month, EYE screens a silent film with live music especially composed for the occasion. Each screening is opened with a short introduction and a special short film from the EYE collection.

Lectures on the classics
Every third Tuesday of the month, EYE presents a classic film from its own collection, preceded by a lecture from an expert from the film world.

EYE classics at Tuschinski
Film fans can enjoy the classics in style at Pathé Tuschinski, Amsterdam’s splendid art deco cinema. Once a month, EYE offers a Sunday morning screening of a classic film from its collection. Each show is started off a brief introduction by a film expert.
