Advertisement for the alcoholic beverage Oranje Bootz by means of a short romantic comedy.
The student René van Straalen is introduced to Ella Steffens by his friend Bruno Wolfring. Ella's rejected lover Wolf Lichtenvoort is jealous of René and Ella, and in conversations with René tries to blacken Ella's character. René sees through Wolf's designs but is seriously wounded by him in a fight. Thanks to a few drops of Oranje Bootz, Bruno is able to bring René around. Wolf is repudiated by his fellow students and is forced to seek company in a pub. During a picnic, Ella and René, together with their friends and relatives, propose a toast to the happy end of the affair with a glass of Oranje Bootz.
