Would you like to hold your next meeting along the river IJ, or give a presentation on the big screen of a movie theatre? EYE offers four cinemas, three meeting rooms, and a foyer, and the entire venue can also be rented (on one day per month). This variety allows us to satisfy a broad range of wishes for events large and small: a conference with 300 participants, a company party with 900 colleagues, or an intimate dinner for 30 people.

Because of its location directly across from Central Station, EYE is very easy to reach by public transportation: a free ferry sails back and forth across the IJ, 24 hours a day. For visitors arriving by car, a municipal parking lot is located behind the EYE building; parking there costs only 2 euros per hour.

meetings

Are you planning a brainstorming session, a business meeting, a workshop, or a board meeting? EYE has become a popular venue for many organizations. For groups of 10 or more, you can use one of our three different meeting rooms with natural light: the Room at the Top, the IJ-lounge, or the Studio.. Each of these rooms has its own character, and is equipped with a projector, screen, and speakers.

conferences

The EYE cinemas offer a perfect venue for your conference: Cinema 1, Cinema 2, Cinema 3 and Cinema 4 are all designed in a theatre-style formation, and each is equipped with a high-quality projector and a large screen. The seating capacities of the cinemas range from 67 to 315 people, and each one has its own unique look. The seating stand in Cinema 2 is retractable, making it suitable for multi-purpose use. A reception for your guests, a lunch, or cocktails can take place in the Foyer. In addition to the plenary room, the other cinemas and meeting spaces can of course also be used for smaller sessions.

EYE exclusive

The most eye-catching space in EYE is undoubtedly the Arena, which houses the EYE bar-restaurant. This spectacular space can only be used for an event if the entire museum is rented. On one day per month (on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday), it is possible to exclusively rent the whole venue. This is an ideal space for a company party, a conference with multiple sub-spaces, a fashion show, a major film premiere, or a networking event.

private dinner

Both the IJ-lounge and the Room at the Top can be used for a private sit-down dinner, a buffet, or a dinner buffet. The Foyer is also suitable for an exclusive dinner buffet or a standing buffet for up to 250 people, where your guests enjoy a view that partly overlooks the Arena and partly overlooks the IJ harbour. And Cinema 2 can also be used for a dinner or for an award show with up to 100 people, where you can screen a film can or give a presentation between the courses.

premiere

Organize your film premiere in the most eye-catching cinema theatre in the Netherlands. Cinema 1, Cinema 2, Cinema 3, and Cinema 4 are all great spaces to offer your guests an exclusive screening of your new film. Afterwards, everyone can chat in the Foyer as they enjoy drinks and snacks. The cinemas are also suitable for private screenings or press viewings. For larger premieres, you can also rent the entire EYE venue, and have simultaneous film screenings in multiple cinemas, and finish off with a closing party in the spectacular Arena.

 

presentation

Are you planning a press conference or a product launch? Or perhaps presenting your annual results, or organizing a lecture or networking event that will include a presentation? That’s all possible at EYE, thanks to our wide variety of spaces. All of our cinema spaces and meeting rooms come equipped with the necessary facilities for treating your guests to a slick presentation.

weddings

Did you know that EYE is an officially recognized wedding location? We have two spaces that are ideal for an unforgettable ceremony, for up to 90 guests. The IJ-Lounge guarantees a cosy ceremony, with panoramic views over the IJ harbour. Likewise, the Room at the Top offers breathtaking views overlooking our Arena space. The presence of a dock right in front of the museum means that your wedding guests can welcome you as you arrive by boat, or wish you a safe journey as you head off to your wedding night. For a reception with wedding cake and champagne, the Foyer and the IJ-lounge are the best suited, and afterwards you can sit back with a smaller group for a private dinner.
