IDFA 2018

14 - 25 November 2018

From Wednesday 14 November to Sunday 25 November the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) takes place. As a top location to see the best and newestdocumentary films, Eye will host a number of IDFA shows followed by a Doc Talk - an extensive interview with the filmmaker, an expert, or a main character.

There will also be morning, afternoon, or full-day IDFA Specials, including Queer Day on 19 November. Five extraordinary personal stories will be shared, from a video essay by queer artist Finn Paul to an intimate portrait of a porn star in Jonathan Agassi Saved my Life, who will also be present for an interview. And for all indecisive film lovers under 30 there is CJP: Decoded. During this ultimate film marathon you will not only get the best docs, but also more in-depth Q& As and a closing drink. On Sunday 25 November Eye caters to the youngest festival-goers with IDFA Junior. Matthijs IJgosse, known from the NTR program De Buitendienst, will guide children into the festival atmosphere with fun after-tales with the main characters and filmmakers. In the foyer, workshops and pancakes will be provided.
