A Journey with Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi
Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi built up their impressive, highly praised and original joint oeuvre over a period of 40 years. Their work dissects found footage and makes connections between modernity and 20th-century imperialist violence.
Angela Ricci Lucchi passed away in February 2018. This poignant homage is compiled from Ricci Lucchi's illustrated diaries and personal film/video reports capturing the lives of the couple in Northern Italy and their travels, such as to Armenia with actor Walter Chiari. This personal record proves Gianikian is continuing their lives’ work of 'cinematic excavation'.
