Stolen Kisses takes you back to the months leading up to the 1968 May uprising. François Truffaut’s alter ego Antoine Doinel, a Parisian in his twenties, stumbles towards adulthood. Love keeps him going, however complex the women in his life may be. The documentary opening shot is that of the riots near the closed Cinémathèque, where director Henri Langlois had recently been sacked.
