Cinedans - The White Crow

This film is inspired by the book Rudolf Nureyev: The Life by Julie Kavanaugh. The drama charts the iconic dancer's famed defection from the Soviet Union to the West in 1961.

The White Crow is Fiennes' third film as a director (award-winning actor in The English Patient,  Wuthering Heights a.o.) and stars Oleg Ivenko (former State Opera and Ballet in Kazan RU) and ‘bad boy of ballet’ Sergei Polunin. The White Crow shows the animalistic and rough edges of the legendary dancer Nureyev.
