Der Himmel über Berlin

Two angels descend into the streets of Berlin to observe the population. When one of them falls in love with a girl, the monochrome film shifts to colour. Wenders touched the hearts of many cinema goers with this magical, spiritual tale.

There is a striking similarity with the British film A Matter of Life and Death, shown later this month at Eye. Screened in a new digital restoration (4K).
