Pim de la Parra founded the notorious production company $corpio with his brother in arms Wim Verstappen, was behind the first major Surinamese feature film Wan Pipel and gained cult status as a minimal movie pioneer.

Eye is releasing De la Parra's 50-year-old feature debut Obsessions (1969) back into the cinema and, over a one week period, pays tribute to one of the Netherlands' flamboyant directors, the inspiration for many young Dutch and Surinamese filmmakers.
