Aleem Khan / GB, 2020 / 89 min.
After Love, lauded internationally as ‘the best British film of 2021’, is an intriguing portrait of Mary Hussain, a woman in her early sixties. Following the death of her husband, ferry skipper Ahmed, she makes a startling discovery.

A long time ago, Mary converted to Islam so she could marry the love of her life. For many years, she and ferry skipper Ahmed lead a contented life on the British coast – until he is struck down by a deadly heart attack.
This film will also be released in national cinemas by Eye Filmmuseum.
