Each year, art academy students put together a programme made up of their own work and films from the Eye collection. ‘Folklore’ is the theme chosen by students at AKI Enschede; an anthology of eleven short films, told from different perspectives.
Once upon a time, the anthology was born. Dreams and dust, screams and lust, stories are told but which can you trust?
Enter the portal of our enchanted realm, where traditional heritage twists and transforms under the influence of the present. An anthology containing 11 short films - each reimagining and diving into folklore with an individual perspective. The collection brings together a wide range of styles, art forms and voices, drawing from different cultures, traditions, and legends.
Each film reflects the diverse backgrounds and personal mythologies of its creators, taking the audience on a unique journey to experience the unified world of mythos, from the lens of reality, dreams, tradition, or modernity.
