Director Laura Poitras (Oscar for Citizen Four) follows photographer and activist Nan Goldin’s fight against the wealthy Sackler family in the USA who she holds responsible for the opioid crisis.

Despite the opioid crisis still causing daily deaths, the Sackler family remain major sponsors of museums around the globe. Nan Goldin demonstrates how art can be used as a weapon and tries to have her protests resound in the museums’ spaces.

This Ultrakort was made as part of Ultrakort, the annual project of the Netherlands Film Fund in collaboration with Vue and the NFO.
