To mark the premiere of Ik wil gelukkig zijn, Annette Apon’s documentary about the life of Dutch actress Fien de la Mar, EYE offers a programme of films from its own collection starring De La Mar. Bleeke Bet was one of the so-called ‘Jordaan trilogy’ films, films set in Amsterdam’s famous working-class neighbourhood, with the diva performing all-time Dutch popular classics like ‘In the Jordaan’ and ‘I want to be happy’.
