A coroner, his anorexic daughter and a female psychiatrist in denial of her sexuality: the protagonists in Body each have their own issues with physicality. In 2011 director Malgorzata Szumowska made the provocative drama Elles – starring Juliette Binoche in the lead role -, this time she produced a metaphorical, darkly comical portrait of Poland that earned her the Silver Bear for Best Director at Berlin.
