Cinema Egzotik: The Night of Hajo
He’s a regular in cult films: the ‘crazy professor’ alias the ‘mad scientist’, tinkering away at his own artificial man. Cinema Egzotik invited its poster designer Hajo de Boer to put together his favourite programme. The result is a mind-blowing mix of Frankenstein’s DIY monster kit meets Michel Gondry’s sense of humour.

Cinema Egzotik programmer Ronald Simons explains: “This time we”d like share with you the favourite selection of Egzotik”s own poster designer Hajo de Boer. Serious contenders for this night were Dutch teen film classic Uncle Ferdinand and the Magic Potion, Adaptation, The Fall and Amarcord, but in the end Hajo decided on two films about “mad scientists”: the mother of all Frankenstein films Bride of Frankenstein and the forgotten comedy Human Nature by Michel Gondry, based on an outrageous script by Charlie Kaufman.”
