spirit of the times

Johan van der Keuken”s film De Tijd Geest (1968) will be screened next, and introduced by writer and professor Patricia Pisters. De Tijd Geest vividly reflects the changing mindset of the young generation of 1968. Van der Keuken interviews young people about their ideals and their views on politics, mixing the interviews with footage of the anti-Vietnam war protests, riots in Amsterdam, a Love-in and a performance by the Dutch poet and writer Johnny the Selfkicker.

Stadsleven is a live talk show and web magazine about living in cities. Journalist Tracy Metz talks with guests every two months about urban themes, from finding love or a place to live in to our current obsession with health or discriminating with data.
