Cinerama's Russian Adventure

Six of Russia’s leading filmmakers of the sixties filmed the former Czarist empire in Kinopanorama, the Russian version of widescreen, resulting in a stunning portrait of their native country. The footage was turned into a Cinerama travelogue by American producers which was narrated by Bing Crosby. Widescreen specialists David Strohmaier and Randy Gitsch will be present in EYE to talk about the background of the digital restoration.
