1 September 2021 marks one hundred years since the birth of writer and polemist W.F. Hermans was born. Eye is joining the celebrations to mark this by screening all film versions of Hermans’ work by Dutch directors, including Adriaan Ditvoorst's De blinde fotograaf.

Adriaan Ditvoorst filmed W.F. Hermans’ story of a blind young man who worked as a photographer. Erik van Zuylen made a cool but gripping film version of the Hermans story 'De elektriseermachine van Wimshurst'.

Willem Frederik Hermans is one of the Netherlands’ most famous post-war authors. It will be his 100th anniversary on 1 September 2021 and this will be celebrated across the country with exhibitions and publications. Eye will be participating by screening all the adaptations of his work by Dutch filmmakers.
