De droppel bloed & L’histoire de Minna Claessens

Free screening as part of Unesco’s World Day for Audiovisual Heritage. Two lost films by Alfred Machin were identified thanks to a private collector's gift to Eye in the 2010s. The films premiered at the world’s leading archival festival Cinema Ritrovato in Bologna, Italy, this June. The rediscovered short films are De droppel bloed [The red stain] (FR/NL, 1913) and L'histoire de Minna Claessens (BE, 1912).
