Experienced diver and cameraman Peter van Rodijnen has filmed in waters around the globe for the past 20 years. Inspired by the famous explorer Jacques Cousteau he has now filmed the North Sea’s undersea world: the largest nature reserve in the Netherlands; so near, yet so utterly unknown.

Pre-film

Whenever possible, prior to De Wilde Noordzee we'll screen the short film The Art of Flying (6') by Jan van IJken the mysterious flights of the Common Starling. The Starling's flying skills are phenomenal and it is still unknown how the thousands of birds are able to fly in such dense swarms without colliding. The shows with a pre-film are noted in the dropdown menu.
