In 2003 Tsai Ming-liang paid tribute to the master of martial arts cinema King Hu. The latter’s Dragon Inn served as the backdrop to Tsai's Goodbye, Dragon Inn, which has King Hu's violent box office hit screened in an old cinema.

Eye now presents all full-length feature films and documentaries by the Taiwanese filmmaker as well as King Hu”s film to mark Tsai's VR artwork The Deserted.
