In a Castilian village in 1940, immediately after the Spanish Civil War, the six-year-old Ana attends a travelling screening of Frankenstein and becomes obsessed by her memories of the monster. Captivating portrait of a child’s inner life.

In the early 1940s, a mobile cinema arrives at a village in Castile to the children’s great joy and that includes sisters Ana and Isabel. The programme includes Universal horror classic Frankenstein. The next day Ana and Isabel travel to an abandoned farm where, according to the latter, the ghost of Frankenstein’s monster lives in the well. Young sister Ana becomes increasingly fascinated by the film creature that killed a young girl in the film.
