In This Is Spinal Tap, a hilarious rockumentary spoof, Rob Reiner is a filmmaker who follows the American tour of the fictitious band Spinal Tap. As the tour disintegrates into disaster, the ever chipper hard rockers are sympathetically revealed as complete losers. “A convincing epitaph for the genre”, according to Dutch national newspaper Het Parool. A must for the connoisseurs of hard rock clichés.
The screening of This is Spinal Tap is followed by a show by Iguana Death Cult, a band from Rotterdam noted for its extremely energetic live act bringing highly flammable protopunk, rambunctious Garage Psych and steaming surf music. An unchained, glorious chaos you can”t get away from.
