For years, FBI agent Sean Archer (John Travolta) has been obsessed by the criminal genius Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage), the man who killed his son. When a heavily injured Troy is captured after a shoot out, it seems as if justice might finally triumph. However, Troy has concealed a biological time bomb somewhere that could destroy all of Los Angeles. What to do? Archer takes drastic steps and has Troy’s face grafted onto his using experimental surgery.
