On November 25, 1975, exactly 45 years ago, Suriname became independent. Eye celebrates this anniversary with Pepr, an initiative to Bring black filmmakers and Black stories to the Dutch cinema. Faja Lobbi, Herman van der Horst's documentary from 1960 awarded with a Golden Bear, is an ode to the people, nature, and splendor of Suriname.

Faja Lobbi is part of Pepr, a collaboration between streaming service Picl and distributor Full Color Entertainment.
