poster Amsterdam Forever Young: Fietsen in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is known globally as a cycling city where over 700,000 bike trips are made every day. Bicycles have become the city’s most-used form of transport. On National Fiets naar je Werk Dag [bike to work day], you can cycle to Eye after work for a special screening about cycling in the city featuring films in which bicycles play an important role and with guests who know everything about cycling in Amsterdam. Including among other films, Fietsen (1965) by Amsterdam photographer and filmmaker Ed van der Elsken.

Kees Hin's De fietser will be screened later that evening at 21:15, or you can watch it at home on our streaming platform Eye Film Player.
