Programme

  • still Cake Day (Jeroen Koelewijn, NL 2018)

Cake Day (Jeroen Koelewijn, NL 2018)

A cheerful, colourful little shop in a grey city attracts all kinds of people – and creatures. The owner of the shop is an extreme perfectionist and has just painstakingly finished making a unicorn cake. Mister Fly thinks the cake looks pretty inviting – which leads to a massive battle between the two of them.

  • still Nobody (Job, Joris & Marieke, NL 2022)

Nobody (Job, Joris & Marieke, NL 2022)

Florian, known to all his online friends (that is: followers) as MadeByHeaven, is a popular lifestyle Instagram influencer whose social life is made up exclusively of posts, hashtags and likes. But one terrible day Florian takes so many selfies that he spontaneously becomes transparent, leaving only his shadow visible in this animated film. Which of course is a disaster for his follower count – but it turns out that real friendship is closer than he thought.

  • still At First Sight (Sjaak Rood, NL 2019)

At First Sight (Sjaak Rood, NL 2019)

A man and a woman are driving straight at one another, not keeping their eyes on the road. They finally hit the brakes just in time and come to a grinding halt. Now they are facing one another head-on, both drivers are too headstrong to make way. Their encounter starts with rage and conflict, before blossoming into something very different.

  • still Huilbui (Sanna de Vries, NL 2019)

Huilbui (Sanna de Vries, NL 2019)

A girl is outdoors, just beginning to enjoy nature, when suddenly she is caught in a huge rainstorm. She quickly tries to shelter in some woods, but the rain gets harder and harder, making the girl sadder and sadder. But, just like a rainstorm can clear the air and make everything fresh again, so can having a good cry.

  • Paniek winner audience award dutch animation

Paniek! (Joost Liewma and Daan Velsink, NL 2015)

Marja goes for a day at the beach, but on the way panicky thoughts keep intruding: did she turn off the gas? Take the iron off the shelf? Turn off the bath tap? The potential consequences of her imagined forgetfulness take on catastrophic proportions in her head, but at the end of the day it’s her panic-prone nature itself that causes her downfall.

  • Making a flip book (30')

After the film programme you can make your own flip book in the cinema. A flip book is a little book with a small drawing that changes a tiny bit on each page. When you flip through the pages of the book with your thumb, these drawings zoom past really fast. The individual pictures blur together like a film. So with your flip book you are really making your own mini-animated film!

Not suitable for children’s parties. Children must be accompanied.
