Programme
Grote Wolf & Kleine Wolf (Rémi Durin, FR 2018, 13')
Big Wolf lives very happily alone under a magnificent tree, until one day a little wolf moves in with him. The little wolf eats all his food, messes up his things, snores. In short: he’s a big pain. But after Little Wolf has gone, Big Wolf realises how much he misses his little comrade.
Tourist Trap (Vera van Wolferen, NL 2020, 2’)
Little car Jeep is looking for a unique holiday location and seems to have found it: an island paradise with unspoiled nature and amazing tropical birds. But when he arrives, Jeep finds out he’s not the only adventurer. One ferry after another brings a stream of camper vans and caravans, completely ruining the trip that started so idyllically.
Blindelings (Joanne van der Weg, NL 2014, 2’)
What do you hear when you can’t see, and do something as everyday as taking the train to Rotterdam Centraal? The tapping of a white stick on the paving stones, the barking of a scary dog and the familiar sounds of the station and the train reach the viewer in a powerful way.
Tram (Olga van den Brandt, NL 2020, 3’)
We follow a tram during its journey through the city. We drive past the Amsterdamse Bos woods and travel through the Oud-Zuid and Jordaan neighbourhoods on our way to the central station. From the tram, we watch various groups within the populace going about their daily routines. In the tram, their lives fleetingly come together as they are transported through one another’s neighbourhoods. Outside of the tram too, we also see flashes of how their lives are intertwined.
Beren op de weg (Nadia Meezen, NL 2014, 4’)
Animated film about Theo, who just loves to drive around in his little yellow car. One day, he comes across a bear on the road. He’s so startled, he crashes. After this accident, Theo becomes more and more afraid to pick up his old life. The more he allows this fear into his life, the more bears he starts seeing all around him. When all his paths are blocked, he realises he can’t go on like this. He has to tame his inner bears so he can carry on.
Paniek (Joost Lieuwma, Daan Velsink, NL 2015, 6’)
Marja goes for a day at the beach, but on the way panicky thoughts keep intruding: did she turn off the gas? Take the iron off the shelf? Turn off the bath tap? The potential consequences of her imagined forgetfulness take on catastrophic proportions in her head, but at the end of the day it’s her panic-prone nature itself that causes her downfall.
Make your own flipbook (30')
After the film programme you can make your own flip book in the cinema. A flip book is a little book with a small drawing that changes a tiny bit on each page. When you flip through the pages of the book with your thumb, these drawings zoom past really fast. The individual pictures blur together like a film. So with your flip book you are really making your own mini-animated film!
Filmmagie is not suitable for children’s parties. Children must be accompanied.
