Programme

Zeezucht (Marlies van der Wel, NL 2015, 11')
Jonas dreams of a life in the sea. But that’s not possible. Or is it? From the moment Jonas sees the sea, as a young child, he knows: this is his home. Not just to look at, swim in or sail on. He wants to become one with the sea; to go in and never come out again. He spends his life combing the beach, in search of objects he uses to build bizarre installations to help him towards a new life among the fishes. Now that Jonas is old, he is forced to recognise the limitations of his inventions, and his body. Time is short if he still wants to make his dream reality.

Polska Warrior (Camiel Schouwenaar, NL 2016, 25')
Shy Eryk is addicted to the popular game Goldhunter; with his strong avatar, he easily wins all the levels. But when problems start to stack up in ‘real life’, Eryk is forced to be courageous outside of the game too.

Make your own flipbook (30')
After the film programme you can make your own flip book in the cinema. A flip book is a little book with a small drawing that changes a tiny bit on each page. When you flip through the pages of the book with your thumb, these drawings zoom past really fast. The individual pictures blur together like a film. So with your flip book you are really making your own mini animated film!
Not suitable for children’s parties. Children must be accompanied.
