The lead in Latvian director Zilbalodis’ second feature length film is a large black cat who has to collaborate with other animals to survive a flood. Zilbalodis creates an intriguing world inhabited by appealing characters. Without dialogue and for young and old.
A cat with no name and big, gold-coloured eyes is roaming around the woods. Pursued by dogs, he seeks refuge in a house where he seems to feel at home. Later, he faces another challenge: rapidly rising water. A dilapidated boat offers an escape: the cat jumps aboard, along with other animals: a lemur, a capibara and a bird; later, they are joined by a labrador.
