Focus on Nukufilm: Making Stereoscopic Shorts at Tallinnfilm
Kaboom Animation Festival 2022
3D is certainly not a 21st-century invention. Long before Avatar, there were many filmmakers and studios experimenting with stereoscopic film.

Even as early as 1915. Nukufilm, called Tallinn Film before the nineties, was one of the first animation studios to make stereoscopic puppet animation films, such as Souvenir (1977) and The Dappled Colt (1981). And they never stopped producing, experimenting and trying to make the best of the best. This unique programme gathers some of Nukufilm's greatest 3D shorts and an introduction to how they did it. So put your glasses on and have a good screening!
Nukufilm is the oldest still-running stop-motion company in the world! It was established in 1957 and is located in Tallinn, Estonia.
