Lively 22-year-old Julia meets Óscar, and falls head over heels in love. But can this difficult man be a role model for her children? Jaime Rosales’ seventh feature film is an exploration of love and embracing life.

Julia starts an intense relationship full of ups and downs with Óscar. The more time she spends with this troubled young man, the more she wonders whether the relationship is sufficiently stable to last. Is Óscar, with his capricious behaviour, a suitable life partner and male role model for the children? An unexpected event brings this into focus.

The terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015 shocked the world, with the most victims falling in the Bataclan venue. Director Isaki Lacuesta based his film on the recollections of a Spanish survivor, wondering: how does a young couple survive such a trauma?

French-Spanish couple Céline and Ramón go to the Bataclan, looking forward to the performance by a hard rock band. While they are inside, a group of terrorists open fire on the crowd; Céline and Ramón manage to reach the dressing rooms, separately, where they hide for many hours. We see the two them, wrapped in silver emergency blankets, returning home – how will they deal with these events?
