Husbands

John Cassavetes / US, 1970 / 154 min.

Cassavetes aims his camera at forty-somethings Harry, Archie and Gus, who after one of their comrades dies go on a bender in New York and London. Their resistance to the mid-life crisis is comical, tragic and poignant. While making this film, Cassavetes made use of the personal experiences of friends Ben Gazzara and Peter Falk.
