Îles flottantes
Nanouk Leopold / NL, 2001 / 82 min.
They are called Kaat, Sacha and Isa. Three thirty-somethings from Rotterdam drifting through life without direction or plan, played by Halina Reijn, Manja Topper and Maria Kraakman. Are the three women friends or are they just ‘floating islands’?

When Kaat turns thirty she realizes things need to change. But how? And which way? To begin with, she leaves her yuppie friend Max and moves in with Sacha. In the meantime, she is playing around with Isa’s boyfriend. The camera work is by Benito Strangio, who also filmed Fow Pyng Hu and Brat Ljatifi’s Jacky.
