Imagine - Boekpresentatie Iris, met tekenaar Thé Tjong-Khing

In 1968, Iris, by illustrator Thé Tjong-Khing (b. 1933) and scriptwriter Lo Hartog van Banda (1916-2006), was published. A graphic novel that perfectly captured the zeitgeist of pop art and flower power with its experimental design and bright colours. Fifty years later, publishing company Sherpa is republishing this forgotten gem by the celebrated children”s book illustrator. Khing garnered TV fame in the seventies when he participated in a popular film quiz on Dutch TV and turned out to be an all-knowing movie buff. In a short version of the quiz Khing will take on another legendary participant: NRC's former film and TV critic Hans Beerekamp.
