Imagine Special - Worldbuilding in Space
How do you build ‘space’ in words and images? The science fiction genre is omnipresent at Imagine 2019, not only in films but also in games. In this panel, we ask filmmakers and game designers to discuss how they interpret space in their work.

Rianne Haak made a graduation film in which she creatively depicted a spaceship on a low budget, as did the makers of the film Aniara, who had a very unique way of furnishing their spaceship. Lennart Sas from game developer Triumph Studios explains how they had to design a completely new world for Age of Wonders: Planetfall, which the player can then expand further. Scriptwriter Anne Toole described worlds and their inhabitants in games like Stargate SG-1, The Witcher and Horizon Zero Dawn. All of them will interpret their work in this panel, and of course, there will also be plenty of room for audience questions.
