In recent years, dance productions have increasingly disappeared from the programs of public broadcasters across Europe, although the enthusiasm for dance inspires a wide audience. In this panel, an exchange should therefore take place on how dance can once again play a greater role on television. What forms of dance can be exciting for addressing and reaching a broad cross-section of the audience? How can dance be reintegrated in a new and exciting way, what can be learned from streaming platforms and what about live broadcasts of dance performances in an on-demand world?

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the world's leading alliance of public service media and strives to a secure and sustainable future for public service media. 112 member organisations in 56 countries are members of the EBU, and an addition 31 associates in Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Americas. The members operate nearly 2,000 television, radio and online channels and services, and offer a wealth of content across platforms. Together they reach an audience of more than one billion people around the world, broadcasting in more than 160 languages. In addition, the EBU operates the Eurovision and Euroradio services.
