It Felt Like Love
Eliza Hittman / US, 2013 / 82 min.
Chosen by up-and-coming film talent: after the talk show Badlands, Leila Sahir and Milou Gevers will screen one of their favourite films about the young Lila who wants to experience true passion.

It Felt Like Love by Eliza Hittman is an exploration of young Lila's burgeoning sexuality, which breaks the myth of romantic love. Lila seeks a sexual experience, preferably right away, but the boy she focuses her attention on doesn't have eyes for her. Hittman captures Lila's vulnerability in a poetic visual style that captures Lila's feelings very precisely.
