Jigoku

-Nobuo Nakagawa / JP, 1960 / 100 min.

Theology student Shiro is haunted by feelings of guilt after a fatal car accident. It is the prelude to a series of unsettling and horrifying events that eventually bring him to the brink of hell, where sinners are weighed and tortured and absolution seems impossible. Eye also screens three other films by Nobuo Nakagawa.
