Kaboom 2026 Kaboom Classics Monique Renault

Kaboom Classics: Monique Renault

Kaboom 2026: Kaboom Classics: Monique Renault

Don’t miss this: Monique Renault, a pioneering woman director in the Dutch animation scene, will be present at this oeuvre presentation. From her playfully activist early French and subsequent Dutch animations to her later, more intimate shorts, her female protagonists (mostly drawn with coloured pencil on paper) have remained independent, sensual free thinkers. The Kaboom Classics series has been produced in collaboration with Eye. Some of Renault’s early works, created in the late ’60s and early ’70s, have been digitised especially for this event.
