One-Minute Dance Film Workshop – for young filmmakers

In the One-Minute Dance Film Workshop, children aged 8 to 12 learn how to make their own dance film lasting exactly one minute in a short period of time. The workshop combines creativity, collaboration, and media literacy, introducing children to the power of dance film in an accessible way. Under the guidance of a professional dance and film maker, they discover that a dance video can be more than just copying moves or using filters.

In small groups, the children work on a short storyline with a beginning, middle, and end, and then dance and film on location. The footage is edited immediately afterwards on iPads using accessible editing software. The workshop concludes with a festive screening, to which family and friends are welcome!
