Maryna Er Gorbach / UA, TR, 2022 / 100 min.
In 2014, a couple from the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine are expecting a baby whilst the ominous tension in their village just keeps rising. Klondike shows the barbarity of war and was praised for being one of the strongest dramas about this crucial time in recent history.

July 2014. Expectant parents Irka and Tolik live in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, close to the Russian border; contested lands since the start of the war in the Donbas. The ominous tension reaches its apogee in their village when Flight MH17 is shot down nearby.
The proceeds of ticket sales will go to the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre, the largest Ukrainian film archive.
