Never-before-screened recordings of Herman Brood songs and rediscovered footage from the chaotic shoot of the film Cha-cha form the basis of this documentary on the tempestuous Amsterdam pop scene of the late ’70s. Preceded by a conversation with some of those involved at the time, including Jan Rot and Hugo Sinzheimer.

In 2015, Eye acquired the archive of director Herbert Curiël (1927): boxes full of papers, documents and cuttings. One surprising find was the film and audio material from his film Cha-cha (1979), starring Herman Brood and Nina Hagen.
