Legowelt presents Ambient Trip Commander (live)
The première of Ambient Trip Commander by Danny Wolfers (aka electro legend Legowelt) who will play his score live. Afterwards a talk with Wolfers, as well as Palmbomen II and Mila V about their work. Just like Wolfers they make their own films based on music.

Many filmmakers think in images and words, with the score coming as an afterthought. However, the opposite also occurs, with resounding results. Tonight, Eye on Sound has invited three musicians/filmmakers whose work contradicts the traditional hierarchy between film and music.
Programme
Ambient Trip Commander
Ambient Trip Commander tells the story of Samantha Tapfersten, a geeky young woman leading a pretty boring life in a medium-sized European city. She works at a synthesizer shop and spends her lonely nights playing RPGs. One day she receives a cryptic email from a hacker group who invite her to Lonetal, a remote village somewhere deep in the Alps. On her way there, things become increasingly sinister and she uncovers a huge mystery.
Post-film talk
Talk featuring Danny Wolfers, Palmbomen II and Mila V about their films, music and methods.
Palmbomen II
Palmbomen II (aka Kai Hugo) is a renowned member of the Dutch electro scene and has, in recent years, increasingly focused on filmmaking and music’s visual aesthetics. He recently released the 'Make a Film' project. An album of film music you can use for your own film, like a sort of film course.
Mila V
Initially, Mila van der Linden worked as a fashion photographer. However, for some time now she has been making films and videos, for which she increasingly also produces the music for as Mila V. The idiosyncratic world she creates in videos like the one for ‘The Craze’ is perfectly accompanied by the acid dance-pop track (or vice versa).

Why in Eye
Most filmmakers starts with a script and images, with the music coming later. However, the opposite leads to exciting works. Occasioned by the première of Legowelt's Ambient Trip Commander (score performed live!) we will shine a spotlight on musicians who make their own films and videos with three guests who work in a comparable manner: Legowelt, Palmbomen II and Mila V.
