Lost Highway
David Lynch / US, 1997 / 134 min.
Reality jars into fantasy in David Lynch’s sultry dark Lost Highway, or is it the other way around? We viewers are also sent on a dark trip along the lost highway, with only an identity swap to guide us.

Lynch described his story about an adulterous jazz musician (Bill Pullman) suspected of murdering his wife as a “compelling investigation into parallel identity crises in a world where the concept of time has spiraled dangerously out of control.”
Alongside Pullman, Patricia Arquette also stars, with a supporting role for former Black Flag punk singer Henry Rollins.
