Lucrecia Martel “The space between sound and image”
Vive le cinéma!
During this evening, Dana Linssen, Jan Pieter Ekker and Patricia Pisters will discuss Lucrecia Martel’s work, illustrated by clips from her films. Followed by a screening of her sultry film La ciénaga.

For Lucrecia Martel, sound is often the starting point for a film. It was through her sound designs that she created the spaces in which La ciénaga, La mujer sin cabeza and more recently Zama unfold. In her installation for Vive le cinéma!, she elaborates on the colonial themes from the latter film. This conversation will examine these historical, political and emotional spaces between image and sound.
